Briar Oaks RV Park sits on Highport Road in Pottsboro, Texas, hidden back in the trees away from road noise and crowds. Owner Greg Foster built it as a quiet alternative to the bigger, resort-style parks on Lake Texoma — shaded and calm, built for real camping instead of a parking lot.
About half our guests are long-term monthly residents; the other half are nightly and weekly visitors, including plenty of boaters and fishermen from nearby Highport Marina who use their site here to shower and sleep before heading back out on the water.

We kept Briar Oaks simple on purpose. A brand-new bathhouse with restroom, shower, and a separate laundry room. A stocked fishing pond with a walking trail. Mature shade trees across the property. A dog park for guests traveling with pets. Full hookups and free WiFi on every site. It’s not a long list, but it’s everything you actually need at an RV park on Lake Texoma.

Right by the Marina. An Easy Drive From DFW or OKC.
Briar Oaks RV Park sits just down the road from Highport Marina, one of the larger marinas on Lake Texoma, which makes it a natural stop for boaters and fishermen who need a place to park and sleep. Golfers and visitors headed to Tanglewood Resort and Tanglewood Golf Course are close by too. From Dallas-Fort Worth it’s about an hour north, and Oklahoma City guests have an easy drive south, along with the smaller communities in between.

Rig Requirements
RVs and travel trailers must be no older than 15 years, in good working order and appearance, and carry current liability insurance. Tents are not accepted, and only one unit is allowed per site.

No — Briar Oaks is an RV-only park. Tents are not accepted.
Are pets welcome?
Yes. We have a dog park on site, and pets must be leashed and cleaned up after.
Can I stay long-term?
Absolutely. Extended stays are available — electricity is an additional charge and a deposit is required. Call for special rates.
Is electric included?
Every site has electric, water, and sewer. Sites are metered, and electric is billed separately on extended stays.
How close is the marina?
Highport Marina is just down Highport Road — a few minutes by truck or boat trailer.
How many people can stay on a site?
Daily and weekly rates include 3 persons (max 4 per site). Extended stay rates include 2 persons (max 2 per site). Additional guest fees may apply.
Can I have a campfire?
No. Fires are not allowed anywhere in the park, and fireworks and hazardous materials are prohibited.
What are quiet hours?
Quiet hours run from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM, and the speed limit throughout the campground is 5 MPH.

These apply to every stay at Briar Oaks. By booking, you agree to them — they’re what keeps the park quiet and in good shape for everyone.
- One RV or travel trailer per campsite.
- RVs and travel trailers must be no older than 15 years, in good working order and appearance, and carry current liability insurance.
- We do not accept tents.
- Park vehicles in designated areas only — no parking on empty campsites or roadways.
- No altering the campsite (digging, installing equipment) without management approval.
- Daily and weekly rates include 3 persons, with a maximum of 4 per site.
- Extended stay rates include 2 persons, with a maximum of 2 per site.
- Additional guest fees may apply.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for the supervision and safety of their children at all times.
- Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
- Loud music or excessive noise that disturbs other guests is prohibited at all times.
- Drive no faster than 5 MPH anywhere in the campground.
- No fires allowed.
- No fireworks, hazardous materials, firearms, weapons, or explosives on the property.
- In an emergency, follow posted instructions and directives from park staff.
- Pets must be leashed and under control at all times, and guests must clean up after them.
- Cutting, damaging, or removing trees and vegetation is prohibited — help us preserve the property.
- No littering. Keep the campground clean.
- Follow all posted rules for restrooms, showers, and other common areas.
- Illegal drugs are prohibited; alcohol must be consumed responsibly within your own campsite.
- Harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior toward staff or guests results in immediate eviction without refund.
- No soliciting or commercial business on the property without written permission.
- Guests must comply with all federal, state, and local laws.
- The park is privately owned. We reserve the right to refuse access or service, and to evict anyone who does not comply with the rules — violation is grounds for dismissal without refund.
- Management reserves the right to modify or add rules as necessary.
- Guests are responsible for any damage or injury caused by themselves, their children, or their pets.
- Tenants assume all risks associated with camping and agree to hold the park harmless and indemnify it against any claims.
- Guests are responsible for securing personal belongings. The park is not responsible for lost or stolen articles, personal injury, or damage from any cause.
